Job Description
--a lead technical person on an account who parallels
the sales activities of the Client Executive. This
technical person proactively leads the architecting,
design and presentation of complex, cross-platform,
leading edge IT solutions during the pre-sales phase
of the sales cycle.
--Client IT Architects (CITAs) are responsible for
establishing strong technical relationships with their
assigned customer account. CITAs have strong technical
and relationship skills and are viewed as a consultant
to the customer in addition to being a focal point
for the IBM technical selling and broader technical
community. They are pre-sales and are focused on acquisition
of business. Results generally expected from involvement
include increased business, strategic and innovative
usage of IBM technologies, and higher customer satisfaction.
In addition to using their own skills, CITAs will
often draw upon the technical skills of the broader
community including Techline, TechXpress, other solution
organizations, development, and/or research, channels,
and, where necessary, complementary vendors. Customers
supported by a CITA could be partners or influencers.
--As a key member of the account team, the CITA should
participate in the development of the overall account
strategy. The role of the CITA, in both the development
and execution of the strategy, is to provide "thought
leadership" for strategic IBM architectures and
solutions. The CITA ensures the execution and deployment
of agreed upon strategies, solutions, offerings, and
technologies. The CITA also provides technical guidance
in the architecting, developing, and recommendation
of technology solutions. Where appropriate, the CITA
will maintain involvement throughout solution implementation.
Additionally, the Client IT Architect?―s role is to
Advance strategic IBM architectures and technologies,
Act as a technology partner to the IBM account team
and sector/industry executive management and the customer
Assume the role of technical consultant to the IBM
and customer team
--Support the extended technical team in establishing
and maintaining relationships with key technical customer
personnel,
Ensure appropriate application of technical resources,
--Evaluate and support IBM solutions, offerings, and
technologies that assist the customer in achieving
their objectives,
--Support the maintenance of customer satisfaction
with the IBM relationship and technologies, and
Evaluate and integrate non-IBM offerings and technologies
into IBM solutions, where no appropriate IBM offering
exists.
--CITAs also provide IBM brand, service, development,
and research organizations important feedback on our
customers?― assessment of IBM?―s existing technology
architectures. The CITshould consolidate, communicate,
and support the development of customer needed enhancements
and functionality.
Qualifications:
1 Graduate and above, over 10 years
2 Working experience: target independent IT consultants
as well as major competitors.
