Job description - IGF Complex Deal Maker is a key sales leadership role in IGF to identify, structure and close large strategic and complex deals. Deal Makers will either have a brand specific (IBM Services), regional or industry focus. It will be the responsibility of Deal Makers to engage with IBM brand and client teams to identify and close large IGF opportunities. Deal makers will act as IGF OOs on key large transactions and will work closely with IGF regional teams.
- Positioning IGF as an integral part of IBM selling and solution design on large, high focus accounts/transactions is a fundamental strategy of IGF’s future growth. The Deal Maker will be the primary IGF OO on key opportunities that require an advanced understanding of financing and deal making skills.
- This position will be based in Beijing to facilitate regular interaction with key IBM executives and decision makers. Integration with internal stakeholders will be essential since it will be the role of the Deal Maker to jointly develop IBM/IGF solutions from an early stage.
- The Deal Maker needs to be able to build consensus among many different stakeholders and influence IBM account strategy and solution design. In addition, the Deal Maker will be a source of leadership and expertise for the extended IGF regional sales team.
- At least 7 years of sales experience is required. Knowledge of IGF and financing solutions is also required. The Deal Maker must be able to work independently to identify opportunities and own them to close. Experience structuring large and/or complex deals is a must. Responsibilities 1. Drive significant new business with a focus on large accounts and transactions
2. Develop key client relationships for IGF, focus on cultivating C level contacts at strategic IBM customers
3. Structure complex financing solutions from end to end for large and strategic clients
4. Achieve individual volumes quota
5. Engage closely with IBM executives and key stakeholders to drive new IGF business and models
6. Lead skill sharing with regional IGF sales teams
7. Work closely with other internal function like cluster, brand team, credit team, business partners to sell and market financing solution to end user customer Required Skills 1. Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline (eg banking & finance, commerce, accounting, business administration or economics), or equivalent. Masters of Business, MBA or finance/accounting certifications will be a bonus
2. Excellent relationship with (regional) IBM brand team (STG, SWG, GTS, GBS) & IBM client team (FSS, COM, Dist, PUB, IND, GB)
3. Minimum 7 years sales experience. Experience successfully structuring and closing significant deals.
